I started cleaning my computer today. for this I took out the ram, graphics card, sound card, and cleaned their contact points i also took out the sata cables. After cleaning all these I put them back in and started my computer but my monitor displayed no signal input, and then the light turned orange.
I went about the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Took out the graphics card and reseated it making sure it was in place, same problem.
2. Took out the ram, Mobo beeped. Placed it back and the mobo stopped beeping. Put the ram in another slot and it got really hot.
3.Took out the video card, plugged the monitor directly into the mobo but the monitor still displayed no signal input and turned orange.
What could be the problem?
