This is my first build and I'm having problems getting to the POST screen, BIOS setup, and boot menu. When I start it up I get to the gigabyte ultra durable series motherboards splash screen but my keyboard does not respond to any input. I've tried 3 USB keyboards so far, and ordered a PS/2 keyboard. But it seems odd to me that a motherboard would only accept a PS/2 keyboard input. Is this the case with my motherboard or is there something else wrong?

The rest of my system specs are as follows:
GIGABYTE GA-X79-UD3
Intel I7-3930K
GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 670
32GB g.skill sniper RAM
Rosewill 750W PSU
Phanteks PH-TC14PE CPU Cooler
WD 1TB HDD

- use ps2 keyboard to enter bios and make bios update asap.
- after step above, connect your usb keyboard and remove ps2 one.
- if problem still, check different usb ports on the motherboard (not only the two above ps2 ports, but also others)
- post your tested usb keyboard models if problem remains.

I had the same problem.
I had installed a 4GB video card made by Gigabyte.
Gigabyte online help recommended using an older video card.
I installed a 128MB Radeon card, it worked like a champ.
