Gpu installation order?

Hi I was just wondering if there was any specific order you needed to install gpu's. For example say I have 3 pci slots on my mother board and I want to install 2 cards. Can I only install them from top to bottom? Or can I say, install one on the first (top) slot, and another on the third (bottom) slot?

You mean that's required? I'm just asking because I'm not sure they will both fit in the top 2 slots

From top to bottom is the way you should do it, it's pretty much the same as with RAM installing (once my friend installed his memory from the right side of the motherboard and his system detected only 6GB instead of 8).
If you're not sure about the size, just try to do it carefully one by one. There is a minimum chance they couldn't fit there anyway.
