What is the best graphics card to run on intel that i can get for around £150

You can get an amd 7870 LE(XT) for about that or under maybe, or an amd 7950 for slightly more. But yes, need to know your system specs and most of all how big the power supply is so that you know you have enough wattage to supply power.

Will be having a 750 wat psu, asus p8z77-v mobo and intel 3rd gen core i5-3570k CPU

I highly recommend HD7870(XT - if there's some other dollar left in your pocket).
I'm not fan of AMD or nVidia neither, but I have bad experience with nVidia cards - mostly the drivers.
