Phenom II X6 1090t to 8350? or Steamroller?

My friend has the urge to upgrade his cpu, tigerdirect has the 8350 for $180 right now, and it is slightly better than the phenoms, but at this point would it be worth to just wait for steamroller? he has a crosshair V so hes set for it lol obviously steamroller 8 cores will cost more than $180 upon release so save now and go 8350 or wait and spend slightly more?

The Vishera 8 core is a solid upgrade to the Phenom 6 core.

If it were me, I'd get the Vishera now and wait and see how the next generation of AMD CPUs actually turn out. If it is major bump up from Vishera, I'd pick one up and sell the Vishera to offset the cost. But, that's just me.
Btw, The Egg has it for $180 too, if you count the promo gift card.

for me tigerdirect even tho i dont pay for it is usually next day shipping as theres a warehouse like 3 hrs away lol
