Hi everyone my machine has been acting a bit slower then usual, whether its a virus or something of that sort i feel its time for a fresh install of Windows 7. I wanted to know if someone could give me a some direction on how to wipe my hard drive? I have done it before but its been so long i can't remember how. I don't have any data or anything i need to backup i just need to clean it all out and start over like it was when i first built it, any help is appreciated thank you.

Save any files you want to save to another drive , or burn dvd's

Reboot and enter BIOS and set the dvd drive to first boot device

Put the windows disk in the dvd drive and restart the computer using the power or reset button
Windows will boot off the dvd and you can format and reinstall

If you have more than one hard drive connected to the mb I suggest you disconnect the power to all but the boot drive . That way you cant accidentally wipe the wrong drive , but this is not essential
