Put together the following:
I5 3570K processor
ASUS-P8Z77-V-PLUS-LE motherboard
Gigabyte Radeon 7970 graphics card overclocked
Corsair HX750 PSU
16GB Ram
Arctic CPU cooler
1 SSD with Windows 7 installed with a few other program and (2) 1TB regular drives for backup and storage.

The system has a problem recognizing that there's a graphics card connected. Device manager just shows the integrated MB graphics and I tried the whole disable and uninstall of that and it doesn't work . Tried doing this through Bios too- power on by PCIx and recognize PCIx first

Am I missing something, or are the parts not compatible? I didn’t buy these components without reading up on what would work well together so I’m at a loss as to how to make these parts work together. Starting to think the MB is not working 100%.

I've updated bios for the Motherboard and have the latest drivers for the card.

If anyone is running a Gigabyte Radeon 7970 graphics card overclocked, please let me know which MB you are using, so that i can just replace mine and move on

Thanks,
