Link Sent To My Email Gets the "404" Page Error

I was asked to finalize my forum discussion, and to select "Best Answer"?, I guess. The link in my email doesn't work for me. It gets me here, to this site. But it doesn't take me to my post, even after signing in. I've searched using my username "mrlewp", and using topic keywords... AND the exact title of my post. None of these methods located my thread discussion. I've gone right to Networking, tried several sub-topics, and searched that forum, with the same negative results. Any ideas why it has to be so difficult, or try this.... why isn't there a link such as "My Posts', or "Threads"?? I finally did find something along that order, but it also came up with nothing of mine!..................UPDATE; Ok, only after posting this did that box on the upper right appear, with "Hi, mrlewp", and a list of my threads. I'd been signed in all the while during all my searches, and that never appeared! I closed the "404" error page earlier, and started with a fresh login
