Trying to push i5-3570k

Hi all.

I'm trying to push my config to the limits and hitting a wall right now at 4,8Ghz.

Since the cores are getting as hot as 90 degrees.. is this as far as I can go?

MB = p8z77-v LK
Mem = Ballistix Elite 1866 9-9-9-27-2

Any advice?

What CPU cooler are you using? Thats a good overclock but I personaly dont let the temps go above 80c. The TJ Max for that chip is 105c but many people will tell you never to try and go that high. I would upgrade or get a better CPU cooler before going any higher. Just as a note every chip is different so the maximum overclock depends on the chip.

I think the temps are a little high.I'm running 3570k\4.5ghz.\1.23 volts\Max Temps low 70's and very stable\Primed for several hours no issues\Noctua NH-D14\I've had it to 4.7 but i hit the high 80's to low 90's so i backed off.
