Hello,
I play Black ops2 competitively and want my FPS to fix the fps at 125.

CPU: intel i5 750 2.67 Ghz quadcore
Ram: 6GB
SSD: intel 330 60G
GPU: EVGA Nvidia GTX660 OC(2GB ddr5, 1046Mhz GPU Clock Speed)
Monitor:BenQ XL2420T

i can cap the FPS on 75 with nv inspector with no problem.
however, when i try to fix the fps on 125,
it usually drops to about 7x when they are many tight action happening in a scene.

I dont care about effects and FXAA, so i turned them off as well as shadow and ragdoll.

so what hardware component should i change?
thanks

All graphic effects off:

CPU , cheapest option would be to buy a fan for cpu, then overclock it. If you need more than a moderate increase, get a new motherboard and a core I5.

thanks for your reply.
so it seems like my old 1156 socket i5 CPU bottlenecked the overall performance?
and does my graphic card need any upgarde?

btw, because i play competitively, so i need that 120hz refresh rate.

At the moment the cpu would limit the gpu, hard to say if you could get 120 after getting an I5. 3570k would be the best if your budget goes that far, but any of the cheaper I5's would be fine as well. If your dead set on 120 fps, get the new motherboard and cpu (and ram?), if its not fast enough get a new video card. A 7850 should do it, a 7950 would do it easy. http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/sparkle_geforce_gtx_650_ti_dragon_review,9.html You do NOT want to crossfire, as there have been issues with micro stuttering.
