Hi

I would like to know if amperage matters when buying a new power supply. My current power supply has these specs.

+12v @ 19a, -12v @ 0.8a, +5v@25a, +5vsb@2a, +3.3v@18a

i know that 12v rail is what i want and should i buy a power supply with higher 12v amperage? or same? or lower?

Yes, definitely! I'd say it is just as important as watts. You want something that can deliver more than enough amps for the rated wattage.

Are you planning to run a high end graphics card? TBH, that's the only thing that really needs a lot of amps.
