OK so im looking at getting a new GPU as i just brought the 550 TI when my last card died and i needed a cheap but ok card from a local computer shop.

My current setup is this

I7 2600K
16 GB Corsair 800MHZ RAM
120GB SSD + Other Drives
Maximus IV Gene-Z Board (Micro ATX)
GTX 550 TI GPU
Screens = 32" Sony EX720 + 22" LG generic monitor (2ms)

I'm wondering if i should get a SINGLE new card (such as GTX 670 / 680) or just save my money and rebuild when the 4th gen I7 gets released and maybe just SLI a slightly worse version of two or 3 cards.

eg spend $X on a GTX 680 / 690 / titan now
or spend $X on 2xGTX 670 or even 3x GTX 660 in a few months

I live in NZ so cards are really really expensive. If you want an idea of local prices you can use pricespy.co.nz to see what im talking about.

Money is not an issue in that i would rather spend double on a card that will last me longer, than be cheap now and struggle with new games, then have to replace it in the near future anyway. Ideally i would want to spend around $800 -$1000 NZ
but would spend a bit more it the performance jump justified it

Any advice would be appreciated
