Can i use American/European GPU's on my UK computer?

Looking to buy sum ati 5970's from either america or Europe but was wondering if they will work as we use different voltages? i have an XFX 1250w black edition PSU will that automaticaly convert the voltage?

Any advice will be appreciated

Yup, once you're past the power supply everything is standardised. It will work perfectly

Yes the PSU converts the 110V in the US or the 220v in europe to 12volt-5volt-3.3volt for the computer to use. The only part that would not be interchangeable would be as 110volt only PSU, however most PSUs can use both 110-220 and anything inbetween.
