New build, can't connect to internet or get Network Adapter.

I recently built a computer, I got Windows 7 installed and got it working as a whole for the most part. The issue I'm running into is that I can't use the internet as I don't have the network adapter driver. I've installed all drivers from the disk my motherboard came with and downloaded the driver from the manufacturer's website (it's not an installer, it's an upgrade apparently). I have absolutely no idea what to do. My router is a Netgear N150 Wireless WNR1000v3 if it matters.

are you connecting wired or wireless to the router?

Neither, if I open network and sharing it says not connected and no connections available.

how are you trying to connect to the internet?

what kind of motherboard?

do you have a wireless network card? if so which one?

Router, and I click the network button like I normally would except it says no connections available.

is the wireless light on the router blue?

are you using WPS to connect?
