Dual Monitor Question

I've just got my second monitor and wondering is it possible to have one monitor on a game while the other monitor is able to browse the internet or what ever. When I've tried to do it, I would go to the second monitor with the web browser on, then it just tabs out of the game like it normally would. So is there anyway to stop this from happening?

The simplest way to do it is to prevent your games from minimizing, by setting them to run in borderless windowed mode at the gaming monitor's native resolution. If you are using an AMD Radeon card, Hydravision for the Catalyst Control Center might also help you manage multi-monitor setups.
