Hey,

Thank you for any feedback you have on this!

I have been "virtually" putting together a build that seems to make sense. I got the basic idea from another thread here.

I would use it for some gaming (Arma2 DayZ), watching video, video and graphic editing, and a huge multitasking between photoshop, web, etc...

Again, I greatly value your feedback!

Here it is, what so you think?

Now, in truth this is looking to cost 648.42 after shipping and all rebates. I noticed that PCPartPicker gives the rebates twice and also adds discounts and out of stock items no longer available when I actually try to buy.

I wanted a 1TB HD for plenty of room for all the photos, files etc that I work with.
I chose that MB/and HD for the 6Gb/s match.

I chose the 1x8gb RAm because in the future I may want to add another if I find that everything I do needs more (don't think it will, but you never know in a year or two.)

If I really get into gaming, I just sort of venture in now and then, I guess can add a better or second video card?

The build is $560 btw, if you can afford it get a 7790 instead of the 7770, it's a much better card. Otherwise I would say go for it, it should be fine in most cases. This won't be extreme graphics everything but it will be more than substantial for your purposes.

Also if you are using photoshop you should look into a Nvidia GPU because of the CUDA acceleration supported by anything adobe. A 660 or 650ti would work for this budget.

Thank you for the fast answers!

I will check the Nvidia GPU and 7790 out.

I know the partpicker said 560, and that excited me! but when I actually put it all in carts added tax and subtracted all mail in rebates, it added up to 650! Not as happy but still, it seems like a nice price!

Sorry, another question what is the difference between a 650 and 650ti I can get the 650 for 80 vs the 650ti for 115.

Is that 7790 for sale yet? I can find articles about it but not for sale.

Thank you
D

I built two computers. This one was my first (ever) build experience. It took about four hours to get the first one all together and windows installed and updated and drivers installed. The build took about 90 minutes due to unfamiliarity.

This one, which was the second computer took 25 minutes to build! but still took hours to get install and updates on.

I installed the games and only had a moment to open it on each one for a few minutes to see if they were installed.

I still have to play and optimize the setup...so I can't comment on that yet.

Thank you!
