Help!

I installed my new Zotac GTX660Ti Amp gpu into my HTPC last night and when I booted up I was met with a "Entering Windows Recovery" message. This was followed my Win8 telling me an error has occurred, it can't boot, try System Restore.

Directly after the screen goes black.

Multiple reboots does not fix this issue. The HDMI is plugged into the new GPU, and it does show display initially so I'm under the assumption it works.

I have changed my BIOS settings to use the Descrete GPU opposed to the HD4000 in my i5 3550K.

I have managed to boot to SafeMode after a few restarts.. I've uninstalled the Nvidia drivers, restarted... And the issue still happens..

I've installed older drivers (306.97) and no luck either..

What the heck do I do next?!? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks as always!
Pat

Dear TSSPat,
I can only tell you to try to reseat the GPu, and after that if the HDMI doesnt work, then try using a Vga or Dvi Cable.
Sorry if that did not help. Good luck.

But I can view the startup of Win8... With the HDMI plugged into the GPU... The graphic card must work properly right?

Oh, i understand. My best Guess is that The Graphics card is probably not capable of supporting windows 8.

Next Time i suggest going with either Asus, Evga, Or Msi For Graphics cards. Much better than Zotac Quality Wise
