So for several hours I have been trying to Overclock my AMD FX-4100 from 3.6 GHz to 4.0 GHz...

These are the finalised settings -
Multiplyer = 20x
Voltage = Default
Motherboard Options -
Disable Turbo Core, Cool'n'Quiet, C1E, C6 and Active power Management.
I also had to set my CPU Voltage from Auto to Manual to stop the Voltage from decreasing from 1.4125V as any lower causes crashes.

From 2 hours of stress testing with Prime95 ( All cores at 100% stress ).. The maximum temperature was 61'c according to CoreTemp...

Here are the tests and results -

OC Stress test @ prime95 -
temp @ full load (4.0ghz)
Started @ 09:55 (PM)

09:59 - reached 50'c
10:00 - 50'c
10:03 - 57'c ~ 58'c
10:05 - 59'c
10:08 - 60'c
10:12 - 61'c
10:23 - 61'c Test stopped.

OC Stress test 2 @ prime95 -
temp @ full load (4.0ghz)
Started @ 10:36 (PM)
10:38 - Reached 50'c
10:47 - Reached 60'c
11:00 - Been at 61'c for around 10 minutes.. seems stable.
11:08 - Decreased to 60'c for around 10 seconds, then back to 61'c

FX-4100

Deafult Multiplyer - 18.5
Deafult Voltage - 1.4125V

OC 1 - 20x @ 4026.86 MHz

results ( fail ) - Under full load @ prime95, cool'n'quiet
underclocks to 3322.16Mhz.

OC 1.1 - 20x @ 4026.86 Mhz + 0.025v ( cool'n'quiet disabled )

results ( fail ) - Under full loadv @ prime95, cool'n'quiet
underclocks to 3322.16Mhz.

OC 1.2 - 20x @ 4026.86 Mhz + 0.025 ( cool'n'quiet enabled ~ C1e Disabled )

results ( fail ) - Under full load @ prime95, cool'n'quiet
underclocks to 3322.16Mhz.

OC 1.3 - 20x @ 4026.86 Mhz + 0.025 ( cool'n'quiet Off ~ C1e Off ~ C6 Off ~ APM Off )

results ( pass ~ not stable ) - Under full load @ prime95, Clock locked at 4026.86 Mhz.
No throttling. Reached 61'c. Will put voltage back to deafult and will run test again.

OC 1.4 - 20x @ 4026.86 Mhz @ Default Volt ( cool'n'quiet Off ~ C1e Off ~ C6 Off ~ APM Off )

results ( Sucessful ) - Under full load @ prime95, Clock locked at 4026.86 Mhz.
No throttling. Reached 61'c maximum.

Use these settings at your own risk.. I do not accept any responsibility for any damage caused. All CPU's are different, Tamper with the settings to make sure they are stable and test for several hours to make sure of that.

!UPDATE!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After de-dusting the CPU Heatsink and fan, and the same thermal paste because I didn't have any on hand.. the maximum temperature is 43'c.. I guess de-dusting does make a difference :)
