A GC-WB300D daughterboard is shipped with a z77h-wd5 WiFi motherboard. The manual for install is very sparse on information. There are two daughterboards, the WB150D and the WB300D. The WB150D has one USB plugin and the WB300D has the USB plugin and one other plugin that I do not know what it is used for. I believe that it's for a pass through for USB.

Does anyone know how to setup the WB300D board? The z77h-wd5 motherboard has two USB 2.0 headers and I use both, one for a Cardreader and one for Case USB 2.0.

Yes that is the right motherboard. It comes with the WB300D daughter board. The link that give for the manual goes to a 404 error code page. If it's the same manual page that I have viewed it uses the WB150D that has one USB connection. The WB300D has a second connection. The internet reviews for the motherboard talk about a pass through for USB on the daughter board. I think that is what the two connections on the WB300D are for.

I think that one of the connections goes to a USB 2.0 header on the motherboard and the other is a question to me. One thought is that my Cardreader would plug into the WB300D second connection for a pass through.

go to gigabyte uk and search WB300D 1.0 or 1.1 .. go to support & download for manual .. check Europe link and open the manual .. you will see the card picture showing WB300D .. you are talking about the port only WB300D has .. it is USB port right ? and both WB300D and WB150D have lower USB connector. The usb port is acting like rear USB port and the lower USB connector .. it is connector as front USB.

Thank you BerylLee for trying to help me. I feel like I'm a bit brain dead, I'm just missing what these two USB connector are used for and how they are to be used. I did check the link and I have the WB300D v1.0. It has one silver USB Port and one black USB connector. Viewing the WB300D manual, it states to connect one end of the USB wire shipped with the WB300D to the black USB connector and the other end to the F_USB 1 connector on the motherboard. The manual does not state what plugs into the silver USB Port.

What will I gain by doing this? (plugging in the USB on the daughter board to the USB header on the motherboard. I ask because right now I have my USB 2.0 on the front panel of my case plugged into the F_USB 1 header. The Z77x-UD5H has three USB 3.0 headers but only two 2.0 headers. I would have to give up ether my front panel USB 2.0 ports or my Card Reader. I do not want to do that.

so you mean you don't want to give up your card reader when you follow instrutction to connect front usb port on wb300 to motherboard front usb which is being connected to your card reader, right?
I think there are at leaset two front usb ports on the motherboard .. don't know if you are using what i've listed in the first reply.

There are two USB 2.0 headers on the Z77H-WD5 motherboard. I think that headers are what you are calling a front USB port. I use one header for my case USB 2.0 front panel ports. The other I use for my Card Reader.

There are two connectors on the WB300D. One in silver and the manual calls it a USB Port. The other is black and the manual calls it a USB connector. The manual states to connect the black USB connector the the F_USB 1 header.
