new mobo or new processor?

i've got a 840T on an asrock icafe 770 and with this mobo i can't unlock the last two cores on my cpu or even oc. i was just wandering if i should go out and get a new mobo or just replace the cpu. i play games like COD BO2, BF3 and metro 2033. Haven't heard good things about the FX series and cant afford to completely switch over to intel. got like 200 bucks more to drop into it.

idk why my cpu-id says 940T Thuban but idk if the 840 isn't in the program or what...
