I've recently found a buy-it-now auction on ebay for a GTX 690 at $800, and $70 shipping (I'm in UK). If this isn't too good to be true, I'm sure it will be snapped up immediately, but what do you think?

..My heart is pretty much set on the 690 now vs an SLI setup. What kind of reduction in price can I expect if I wait around a few months? Will we likely see a decline within that time, or should I just swallow it and open my wallet?

Looks to be legit based on the reputation of the seller. I'd get it before somebody else does if your heart is set on it. I'm actually a little tempted to snatch it up, LOL.

For US buyers, that's a no-brainer, but I'm thinking I might have to pay taxes or some other when I import it (says it is illegal to mark as 'gift'). I don't have pennies right now anyhow.

Anyway, hope a fellow THWer gets it.

Exactly my thought after I posted topic. Still, great offer for US based buyers.

As mentioned in my OP, do you think we'll see a reduction in price on this card within the next 3-6 months that would warrant waiting around? Seems either way I'll have to plunge and spend ~ £750 in UK.
