Hello, I am hoping one of the resident experts, or anyone else who wants to take the time, will take a look and let me know if I've made any real mistakes here. I have a fair bit of experience working with computers, doing pretty much everything, however I have never built one from the ground up. I am looking at getting some experience doing that, and have made a first attempt at it, I was hoping for some critique as I am sure I have made some poor choices or even mistakes.

Anyone with any input at all, anything is appreciated! Let me know what is good or bad!

I was looking to make something respectably powered while staying around $600-$700, keep in mind I have the GPU already it is a spare and will do for now, I also have a spare 600W PSU so ignore the ones in the build for those two items price-wise.

Hoping for any advice!

Edit: Solved.

So you are recommending I switch the mobo to:
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157296

I see that it meets all of my needs, but I can't really tell how different this is from the ASUS board. Is it a personal preference you have, or is it a quality issue or am I missing something?
I was wanting to go with an ASUS board as I was understanding that they know what they're doing when it comes to motherboards...

In any case, I think I will consider this one instead as it saves me $20 but I want to understand the reason for thswitch if possible! Thank you for your input!

Edit: I also did not include a processor HSF as the intel post on newegg for it states that it ships with one, I wanted to know if this is the case, and if so would it also ship with thermal compund, do you think?

I am hoping someone can answer this as if I make a change I would really like to know why it is better. Can anyone tell me what is better about the asrock board?

Here is the ASUS board: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-p8z77vlx
And here is the ASROCK board: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157296

Other than that I think I will be ordering these parts and putting together my first home built PC, thanks for looking over my stuff if you took the time to do so!

Thanks Baller for your help, there are so many parts to look through I am glad you knew a cheaper option... One last question is how do I mark my post as solved?
