My favorite gpus are the 200 series I feel that these cards were a huge jump from the old 8xxx-9xxx cards. The gtx 260 will forever hold my heart as my favorite card.

People no longer seem to favor the older gen cards. I know the newer gen is faster but they dont seem to be that much faster IMO. with certain games.

I had a HIS Turbo 4890 while ago and it was a really huge jump for me. Before I had 8600GT so the performance increase was huge. I even had to switch from my 6400+ to Phenom II X3 720 and overclock it to get the best out of it. Loved this card, really.

Another one is the one I own now. GTX 660Ti PE OC Edition - with proper overclocking it is an amazing card which can handle any game You throw at it on 1080p on full details. Probably my next one will be another 660Ti and SLI (I don't plan goin over 1080p).

So summing it up: 4890 for pure performance few years ago and 660Ti for multiple great Kepler solutions to lower power draw and temperatures, while maintaining great performance.

@mephic The 4890 was a great card, But imo the 8600gt was a huge boost over older gens.

@pantherr the gtx 480 was a very powerfull card. I owned 2 in sli. It was a must need to watercool them though

@jdw_swb the 4850 was a amazing card, Didnt get as hot as the 4870 or the 4890 and had great performance.

@huilun02 IMO the 8800gt stayed as a great card for the longest ammount of time allot of people are stilling using them in sli, Or the 9800gx2 which was 2 of those on one pcb more or less.
