Hello, My specs are

Dell XPS 8500
i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series (I think its a 7770 but that's all Dxdiag says)
8 GB of RAM

About a month ago I noticed that I was getting very low frame fate in games that I regularly play like Guild Wars 2(15fps) and League of Ledends (30fps) so after looking somethings up I downloaded MSI Afterburner to monitor my GPU and saw that the usage was at 90% and temperature was over 60°C at all times. So today while messing around in Catalyst Control Center I changed the GPU Clock to 1300 MHZ from the normal 1000 MHZ and noticed the GPU usage go down to 23% and the temperature drop to 41°C so I tried running my games again and got 60+ fps in both. The only problem was at screen would go black every 20 minutes or so and say my display drivers have stop working and have recovered and the computer would eventually freeze. If anyone would be able to help I would be very happy. Thanks.

I happen to have the xps 8500 myself. Just check the background tasks you may have running and reinstall the drivers. Also, I might suggest getting a 7870 hawk or 7870 le. It will be worlds of difference for you compared to the 7770
