That's my build. I'm wondering what Operatinf system should I get for it? It will be a gaming computer and I've heard that newer OS require more system resources which would otherwise be used in my games. So with my build what OS should I get

Almost all new games support only DirectX10 or 11, so you can't run XP (which I personally prefer) and most people don't like Vista, so you should get Windows 7 or 8, whichever you like.

PS: Whichever you choose, get the 64-bit version (another limitation of XP)

windows 7 is just windows XP with a graphics enhancement and a few new shortcuts so no major changes. windows 8 is the version with a major GUI overhaul

Sorry, but that is complete and utter hogwash. Microsoft basically rebuilt Windows from the ground up with Vista. W7 is Vista tweaked and improved. So under the skin, XP and 7 are completely different OS's. 7 is more stable, more secure, and has far superior hardware support.
