So My mechanic hooked up a scanner to my cadillac to reset some abs sensors showing on dash, right after leaving the mechanic when I would push on my brake the Mileage gauge shuts off my security light goes to the battery picture and all of my dash goes off including clock and radio. It has now been at a reputable Dealership for 5 Days and they finally said they found the problem, 1800 dollars later and 10 min of driving it showed the problem is still present. Any ideas anyone, chances are I wont get my money back and still praying they can fix the real problem.

Just an possibility, Can't say for sure this is it. But I have a Lincoln Town car which is a few years older than you Cadillac but my display panel began acting strange. Started small with my oil pressure gauge(Digital) dipping to zero and then back to normal over and over. I had oil sending units put in twice and still the same problem. Than next my fuel mileage and trip mileage indicator went in and out. Within six months approx. all my digital gauges went haywire except speedometer. No one could make sense of it. Then I spoke to some one at an auto parts store who told me that after awhile dust collects on the data link cables behind the display panel (Dash). So I pulled out the panel and unhooked the cables which were flat and plugged into the dash, I then took a high grade rubbing alcohol and Q tips and cleaned them, Problem solved. Everything was back to normal. Also be aware that even a blown panel light behind the the dash can create a problem also. No guarantee on any of this but it sounds like a possibility. Sorry for the long story and I hope you get the problem solved, Good luck.

It sounds like a bad ground to me. That's always a pain to troubleshoot. I'd bring it back to the same reputable dealership because they know what they've tried. Along with the fact that it's an electrical issue I'd give them another chance as they can be really tough to diagnose. They should look at it for free if they're reputable because of already paying them for a failed repair.
