Hey everybody,

This will be my first build in a lonnnng time. I'm looking for something with a lot of power and a measure of longevity. I've looked at a hundred builds here and have come up with what I think looks pretty mean for the price. Let me know if I'm off the mark! Thank you!

Approximate Purchase Date: When my parts list is finalized - hopefully by the end of next week.

Budget Range: I'm hoping no more than ~1250USD... but I need peripherals and a monitor on top of that.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, gaming.. gaming. My SO may try to use it for video editing.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Those with Canadian shipping, as I am in Canada.

Overclocking: Probably not.

SLI or Crossfire: Probably not.

Additional Comments: I am willing to save a few bucks now and upgrade lower quality parts later.

Sandisk Xtreme is a much better SSD,or Samsung 830,or Corsair GT. On the Marvel side there's Vertex 4 and Crucial M4. Great bang for the buck, just pick one.
Go with windows 8,it's better in my opinion, and abit cheaper too when upgradingt(supports more ram than home premium by default)
Otherwise, good build :)
