Bad Lan port or something else?

A month ago, I witnessed an issue where my pc would lose internet connection suddenly (with the red cross, no connection) and went into blue screen a minute or two later.

Recently, I have had the same issue once (blue screen says video something fatal error) and quite a few no connections (either the yellow exclamation or the red cross) with no blue screen (had to reboot or shut down pc to get back connection sometimes).

What is the problem I'm facing at here? Faulty lan port or something else?

Very doubtful its the Lan port...

You could buy a cheap usb/lan converter (a few dollars/pounds) to test it though...
