Radeon 8000 series predictions?

Hi,
I was looking for insight on the Radeon 8000 series (non-OEM). I currently have 2 5870's. but because I have a 1920*1080 and 2 1280*1024 monitors, I would like to use SoftTH to be able to play on all 3 monitors. The unfortunate thing is that right now, at such a high combined resolution and added to the fact that SoftTH doesn't support crossfire, DIRT 3 only runs at 25-35 FPS off of one card. I was hoping to upgrade to an 8970 when they came out, so I can run 3 monitors fluidly as well as have a Quadro FX 4600 run PhysX for me.

I was wondering, when is the 8970 expected to come out? I was refraining from upgrading to a 7970 because it would be more of a sidegrade than an upgrade I think, and I hope since the Titan has been released, the 8970 has a benchmark to aim for, performance-wise.
I was thinking of getting an HIS 7970 IceQ X2 card for $350, but again, I would rather upgrade when there is one single (and relatively affordable) card that destroys my two cards without question.

So, what is everyone's predictions for the 8000 series? Release date? Price? Performance? I'm hoping that its flagship can be at least as fast as the Titan when it does come out, seeing as how it got delayed and everything

Q2 2013 - Unlikely
Q3 2013 - Likely
Q4 2013 - Highly likely
Q1 2014 - Guaranteed.

7000 series cards are from 2011! AMD can't just sit on their laurels with Nvidia's assertion to "Expect 700 series no sooner than March 2013".

I was wondering, when is the 8970 expected to come out?

for sure amd did not have any desire to take out 8000 series this year. they states that 7970 will be their flagship throughout the year (2013).

I hope since the Titan has been released, the 8970 has a benchmark to aim for, performance-wise.

i can't see amd beating titan unless they go for big chip like nvidia does. but it is unlikely for amd to do so. if they keep the usual way amd need use much smaller node process node to beat Titan and next process node will not coming any time soon.

So, what is everyone's predictions for the 8000 series? Release date? Price? Performance?

since Q2 this year release has been denied by amd themselves people not predicting much. maybe towards Q4 this year. about the price amd might charge more than nvidia charge for titan if 8970 indeed able to surpass titan in performance. you don't believe me? just look at what amd charge for 7970 when they were faster than 580. :p

What are your guys' predictions on performance? More than the Titan? Less?

officially launch at the end of december 2011 with actual availbility on january 2012. they officially launch the card on 2012 so they can keep their trend with new gpu series each year even it will meant to make it into paper launch.

if 8970 will using smaller process node than 28nm for sure it will much faster than titan. but if they make it on 28nm it will be hard to beat titan. but i honestly believe amd did not intend to fight titan with single gpu. amd mention it a few times that Asus ARES II is the fastest gpu in the world when they were asked about what single gpu from amd that will take the fight to nvidia titan
