Random flashing white pixels on desktop? 7870 Sapphire OC Edition

They show up on a random part of my desktop each time the background changes. 5-6 different pixels usually start to flash and they center around the same area of the desktop. Sometimes like right now they're all in the taskbar. If I take a screen shot of the desktop the pixels flash on the image as well when I open it in paint.net or Photoshop but if I paint over them they go away. They don't seem to appear anywhere but the desktop otherwise. Gaming is unaffected, thank God. But is this a bad sign, could it get worse or start flashing in games? I noticed it a while back but it wasn't this bad until recently. I got the card in December.

If anyone comes across this, the problem was my HDMI cable. Swapped and it's fine. If your gpu has a flashing pixel issue, they will most likely be green.
