Corsair Vengeance 1500 or Astro A40?

I have Corsair Vengeance 1500's right now(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...irtualParent=1) and I like them, but I noticed this on newegg today:

How much better sound quality and 3D sound stage would I get by moving to the Astro setup? Does the soundcard actually help because I've heard that they don't really make a difference.

I mostly play FPS games like Battlefield 3, Black Ops 2, DayZ, and also play Guild Wars 2 quite a bit.

I can sell my 1500's to a friend for $50.

So for $250 cost is the upgrade worth it?

I like it and know it's good, but I certainly don't think it's the best.

Surely the Astro's much be better, but the question is by how much?
