Hey all,

Im currently looking to buy my first SSD and hoping to get some words on what could fit my needs the best.

I'ev been looking at:

OCZ Vector Series Solid State Disk 256 GB
and
Samsung 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD256 256 GB

I use my desktop mainly for:
- The adobe package (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Flash)

I do also occasionally play a some games online.

Not sure if its noteworthy, but I have an
- I7 2.67ghz
- ATI Radeon 5800 series
- OCZ DDR3 GOLD XTC 6GB PC3-12800 (3X2GB)
ps. getting new RAM.

If you have suggestions on some other SSD, then im naturally also all ears :)

I normally recommend Samsung - stellar track record over the years. Crucial, Intel, and Plextor are also worth considering.

I maintain the ssd database listed in the stick at the very top f this forum section. Here is the link:

Scroll down to the brands and models you are interested in and follow the links to the technical reviews.

BTW - Since you mentioned an Adobe package, what are you using as a scratch disk? Have you considered setting up a ramdisk? Works wonders for Adobe products. Here is a link to a recent article:
