Need help picking parts for a new computer build mainly for gaming.

Hi,
I have already picked out parts which I think are good, but because im not very experienced i wanted to ask the community. These are the parts;
CPU: AMD FX 8350 4GHZ 8 CORE
GPU: NIVIDIA 1GB GTX 560 TI
RAM: 4GB 1600mhz pc3-12800 240 PIN ( in a few months i will upgrade to 8GB )
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
CASE: Raidmax ATX-238WR Tornado ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case (Red)

As i said i intentially will use this system for gaming. I do not mind low quality and great performance, as long as i can get a good fps and yes it would be nice for perfect quality too.
My budget is £300. I am able to get all these parts for that money too.
If you can suggest any better parts please do!

Apparently i can get the GTX 560 TI for £52. I dont believe it, but i will proceed to checkout and double check the price thoroughly. Xboxgames site is selling it. It sells computer parts and other games. All the other parts on the website seem accurate when you compare the prices with the likes of amazon. If i cant get it for that amount of money i will have to get it of amazon. These parts are new. Amazon.com seem to have them fairly cheap and around my budget. Sorry i know it was good for £300, but what i really want to know is can i play most modern games without lag? Performance? Quality? That sort of thing.

Don't get the 8350, save your self some money and get the 6300, also build it on uk.pcpartpicker.com to find the lowest prices. You can get a better case for the same price http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/zalman-case-z11plus. How much are you paying for your ram? Because you can get 2x4gb for £35, http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/patriot-memory-pvi38g160c9k. You'll need to get a power supply and Hard Drive too.

Yes thanks. Thats a very helpful answer. May i ask what is wrong with the FX8350. It has 8 cores, 4GHZ per processor. Im only asking to understand and im ready to take on good advice. Whats the 6300 advantages over the 8350. I know my case is terrible, though it is due to the budget. I will be using my own PSU and i am getting a temporary set up for the HARD DRIVE and DISK DRIVE.

Ah okay, well the 6300 is basically a 8350 with 2 less cores, and even with that a lot of applications don't use all of the cores, so you may as well save your money. With the Case, if you are spending £50 on it (that's the cheapest I could find yours) you can get a Z11 plus which has much better cooling for the same price. As for the PSU you will want to make sure it's at least 450w. The Graphics card, what brand are you getting, the cheapest I've found for the GTX 560 TI is £150.

Yeah ok. In your own opinion which is better for gaming? (Money aside) Yes i realise it has 2 less cores, which i dont mind but it runs at 3.5GHZ how will this affect gameplay? I will have a look at your case and i have a 550 watt PSU. I think i will leave Nividia because the motherboard is quad crossfire, and its an amd chipset. As far as i know Nividia SLI doesnt work in amd crossfire boards. Im still trying to make my mind up on that too. Any suggestions?

Yes i realise that too. This system, i want to last a long time. I want to get good core components now. FX8350, M5A97. To me these are the most important. I will then get a decent amount of RAM, a decent Case and a decent GPU for now. I will then wait till christmas to upgrade these parts to a very high level. So basically i want a decent GPU (Capable of playin Crysis 3 with little lag).

7750 is the best low end gaming card out there, and really, the 8350 is no better than the 6300, basically all games and applications wont use all 8 cores, and the 8350 has a higher power consumption.

You don't want to get an Open Case, you're PC will be smashed to peaces with in 24 hours. Also you should try to avoid buying out of the country, customs can be a bitch. I recommend a Z11 (http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/zalman-case-z11) or if you can push it a bit a Z11 Plus (http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/zalman-case-z11plus)

How about something like that it's £310 but you could always swap the GPU to a 550ti if you like which would take £20 of the price but its not a bad build. What kind of games are you looking to play? Also do you have a OS? Hi, Ok i have thought about it and thought about it again. To get the best PC which will last a bit i will needat to pay the extra money. So i am going with the FX8350. What about the MSI RADEON 7750? Is it anygood?

To be honest you don't need a 8 core CPU as 8 cores aren't needed in gaming and is a bit excessive you only really need a quad core the only games 8 ore CPU's will help with are games like flight simulators.

As software advances it could utilize all 8 cores. It will help with multi tasking and each core runs at 4GHZ! Is the gigabyte version roughly the same price? And is this case anygood?http://[/url

Well it's up to you but I highly recommend saving your money and getting a Steamroller when they come out. That is the case I have already suggested, you should get the Plus though. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007C008L2/?tag=pcp0f-21.

Ok, i know i have been a pain in the back. You have given me advice and we have sort of had our own mini argument. Im sorry. But money out of the question. Will the FX 8350 last me say 3-5 years? I plan then to upgrade to the new architecture then. Thank you for all your help!

Hey, it hasn't been a problem, no problem at all. The 8350 should last you at least 3 years if you don't overclock it, most likely a lot more in fact.
