Hey guys,

So basically this is my first time building my own gaming computer and just wanted to make sure the parts i bought will be compatible with each other!

So this is what I have ordered:

1. http://www.techbuy.com.au/p/191311/CPU_INTEL_SOCKET_1155/Intel/BX80637I53570K.asp

2.http://www.techbuy.com.au/p/189532/MOTHERBOARD_INTEL_SOCKET_1155/Asrock/Z77_EXTREME6.asp

3. Already purchased GPU - Sapphire HD 7850 oc 2gb DDR5

4. 650w Powersupply which i bought off ebay (not sure what brand) Should this PSU be safe?

5. http://www.techbuy.com.au/p/158960/MEMORY_MEMORY_DDR-3_RAM/A-RAM/ARTW8GB1333D3V.asp

6. http://www.techbuy.com.au/p/182409/HDD_INTERNAL_SATA-II_DRIVES/Seagate/ST1000DM003.asp

7. DVD/Blu-ray disc drive

8. http://www.techbuy.com.au/p/182079/CASINGS_MIDI-TOWER/BitFenix/BFC-RDR-300-KKN1-RP.asp

9. and lastly Windows 8 OEM DVD

So thats all I am putting into it, will this work just fine? And will the i5 include a cooling fan with it?
Now i am a little worried that the PSU (which i purchased on ebay) might somehow shit its self and just wondered would it be safer and smarter to get one of these

CPU = great

Mobo = great (altough i'm asus and gigabyte fan)

GPU = you solved it ;)

HDD = not much to say :)

PSU = what's brand of the one from Ebay? maybe you don't need new one, but Corsair you're mentioned is monster :)

RAM = don't go with that... go with OCZ, Corsair, G.Skill 1600Mhz and modules with passive cooling (they look nasty and they perform cooler)

Bluray = if you need one, then go for it

Brilliant! Ill go for a G.Skill! Thanks and I have no idea what the brand is, i think it was something like GC or something similar to that. Also i think the only thing I need to get is heatsink paste for the cpu and not sure if I should get a fan (if none included with the i5 cpu)

Your cpu should come with stock cooler and heastink, so no need to buy compound yet. Check your ebay PSU, if it's not branded i would advise to go for Corsair, XFX, Seasonic, Antec, OCZ, Zalman in range arround 600W+. It will provide you safety and options for future.

I just found the brand name for it, which is called GH power aka "Guildmann" http://www.guldmann.com/Default.aspx?ID=3634&ProductID=PROD542 Should I still consider getting a a different powersupply?

And this is the ebay page if that helps http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/650W-GH-Power-650-WATT-PFC-Desktop-ATX-12V-Version-2-31-PSU-Power-Supply-/130701543106#ht_4045wt_1139

Where are you from? These parts are all so expensive, esspecially when i look at PSU's compared to neweeg.

Corsair you provided is monster :). Great PSU and if it is possible i would rather go with it.

Hell i would rather go with 400W branded than that one from ebay. I can't say that i have ever heard of it, but neither did google except from ebay, so it must be bad one. It is great risk running these kind of supplies for years to come.

As far as heatsink for CPU i don't know if you'll get one, you should, but maybe you won't. My advice for aftermarket fan would be Cooler Master Hyper 212 and thermal compound (if none on heatsinks) arctic silver 5.

Thanks again! And im from australia so I get all my stuff from techbuy a australian online store. Also yes i just found out that the power supply i have currently does not have any OCP or OVP protection and so I have ordered a Corsair TX650m which is prottected from surges, ocp, ovp
