How do I make all 3 of my graphics cards work

I have 3 on my motherboard but I dont think the are all working. Is there a way to to make them all run together. My FPS is not very high in my games I play. So I'm hoping that when they are all working at the same time it will help. Also I the graphics cards are all 3 GeForce GTX 260. So should I just get rid of these and get one better one?

this is sort of a dumb question but do you have the sli-bridge connected to all 3?

also i would suggest to swap those gtx 260's for a more modern card depending on your budget ;

800$ 7990 / gtx 690

Tom's article this week on SLI vs. Xfire shows a better experience with SLI than Xfire. If you are going to use multiple GPUs I'd stick to SLI.
