Hello, i am a little concerned with my new 7950 idling at about 54c. i have a Corsair Carbide 500r case so i don't think a lack of airflow is a factor in this and wondering if this could be due to a manufacturer defect or maybe something else. Please let me know what you think.

Specs:
CPU - AMD FX-8150 Zambezi
Mobo - MSI 970A-G46
GPU - Xfx Double D 7950
PSU - Corsair cx600
RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB
Case - Corsair Carbide 500r

Is your core clock dropping down to lower settings at idle it should. Some of the xfx overclock cards have issues with down clocking. It should not always be at its max clock 850 or w/e it is on those.

Thanks for the reply, my GPU clock stays the same at 900 and the default clock is the same. I enabled automatic fan control and is it normal for the fan needing to be at 45% to get down to a 43c idle?
