Hello all. I was here awhile back asking about a cheap build, and here I am again. I asked my friend to build me a pc that is less than $350. Now understand that this isn't including a monitor or OS.

Here's what he came up with.

I mean it looks good to me, but then I don't know much. I'm sure it's not a bad build, just wanted to get other opinions :D

Also, take in mind I'm not trying to play on High or medium settings. Doesn't really matter much to me considering my monitor is only 1080p. Not sure if I will buy a new one sometime or what. I'm told it will play on medium settings, which is fine enough for me.

And if I go with that and decide I do want to upgrade and play on ultra or whatever, all I would need to do is upgrade the cpu. Right?

Thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.

This will let you play on medium settings . If you want to play on ultra there is a lot of upgrading to do.....

Crap I missed the HDD. Add another $50. Man this is like bare minimum.

Ok, thanks for all the input so far everyone. I knew that it mostly relied on the gpu, but I figured I might as well update the cpu as well.

n3cw4rr10r, that build looks pretty good to me. You mentioned it would take a lot of upgrading to go to ultra? What specifically? Like I said, I'm not sure if I would do that, but I would like to have the option to do so if I eventually decided to.

If you want to run on Ultra you are going to need a really high end gpu like 7950 / 7970 or GTX 670/ 680 . Prices for these cards alone range from $300-$500. Also You are going to need a good CPU which will run you around $300 for a CPU+ MB combo (lower end). Plus a good psu capable of handling their power requirements. These are just the basic requirements for ultra settings for modern fps games like BF3 for example.

Ok thanks. I think I'll hold off on all of that lol.

I do like the look of that build ASHISH, what should I expect from that build? To be able to play on medium settings?

To upgrade you are going to have to get a new cpu & mb at the minimum. And what exactly do you mean by "upgrade" ?

You might also need a bigger PSU if you get another gpu or go crossfire. (CPU+MB must be upgraded first).

I suppose I didn't use the correct wording. I meant like, if I wished to play on higher settings. Or how long it would be before I wouldn't be able to play most games on medium?

If you wished to play on higher settings you are going to need a better cpu/mb and a better gpu or another 7750 in crossfire. How long will this current build last on medium settings is a tough question. I would say max 2 years (could be less).
