Intel Core2Duo E7400 Bottleneck Question

Hello!

Quick Question:

I'm buying a GT 640 for my old PC, just thought of a little upgrade because my old card died, unfortunately.. =(

Anyways, the question ^^

Will my E7400 Bottleneck a GT 640 or GTX 650?

(Or, suggest the highest graphics card that wouldn't be bottlenecked by the CPU)

400W GAMMA PSU
(Right now I now I'm using a GT 210 :|)

there will no bottleneck upto hd 7770.gtx 650 will be fine.for your psu gtx 650 is perfect

you need 2gb ram more imo as 4gb ram is must for games

BTW: If I upgrade the rams and go for the 650 non ti, will I have to upgrade the PSU too?

Hmmmm.. Is the SAPPHIRE 7770 really better than the 650 non ti? Most of the benchmarks show that.. any confirmation? Because I don't really trust benchmarks :s

yep hd 7770 is faster but you need to get new psu for it

damn, the thing is.. I just bought that 400W PSU yesterday -.- then my old card burnt, and now I'm looking for another one :/ I think I'll just go with the 650 then, the difference isn't really that huge right?

no need of new psu as gt 650 just consumes 64w at peak.

make sure you get correct model of gtx 650 as ther is 2 as there is two versions

1)one is normal (donot need 6pin connector)

2)oc version (need 6 pin connector)

get which is without 6pin connector

nope that gpu needs 6pin connector.imo that gpu is oc version

you need new psu for it.it will be fine but in cpu intensive games might bottlecneck + you can oc that cpu
