Also, I have no idea what to get for a motherboard. I plan on gpu and cpu overclocking. Not by a lot, but enough for an extra boost but keeping temps under 60c

UPDATE:
i also live nowhere near a microcenter. Factor the extra $40 into the i5-3570k

Get any z77 board that has the features you like.

Also, scrap that RAM for some low profile RAM. This will ensure it doesn't interfere with your CPU cooler.

So even if its like, the cheapest of the cheap z77 it will still do fine?
Any recommendations on the ram? The corsair vengeance was the cheapest 8 gigs i could find.

Any RAM with low or no heat sinks will be fine.

How much do you want to overclock? Certain boards aren't as good for overclocking. Look at ASRock and Gigabyte. They are great.

Something like the crucial ballistix would be good?

I plan on overclocking cpu to a max of 4.5 Ghz if that. I think running it at 4.2 should be plenty though.

As for the GPU, umm... Im not too sure yet. But I want to keep temps pretty low so i wont overclock too far

That Ram will be perfectly fine.

You will want a good board to overclock hat high. Gigabyte, Asus, ASRock are all companies to look at.

Also, my case comes with 6 fans I believe. What do i do if there arent enough headers to support that many fans?

You buy splitters or molex to 3-pin adapters. 6 fans is way more than you need however. One front intake, one top and one back exhaust is all that is really needed.

If I plug in my top 2, back fan, and front fan, and leave the bottom 80mm fans unplugged that will be okay then?

That will be perfectly fine. Make sure the top and back fans are exhaust and the front fan is intake.

and you just do that by rotating the fan around to where instead of blowing air inward (intake) it blows it outward (exhaust) correct?

Yes, correct. They should be correctly installed from the factory, but make sure to check.
