I'm looking to buy a new motherboard, processor, and RAM. I already have a ATI Radeon HD 4870 so I don't feel like upgrading the graphics card is worth it. I'm looking to get this motherboard:
ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS AM3+ AMD 760G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
to go with this processor:
AMD FX-4170 4.2GHz Quad-Core Socket AM3+ CPU with AMD Virtualization Technology - FD4170FRGUBOX
Or:
AMD Phenom II X6 1045T 2.70GHz AM3 Processor
I'll get the typical corsair 4GB RAM cards to make it 8GB. The PSU is fairly old but can handle most of whats thrown at it. Any suggestions? I'm a novice so these may be obviously wrong choices. Oh, and I'm looking to upgrade my system to play games like WoW, Team Fortress 2, and maybe Planetside 2 on higher system settings. Any help is appreciated! Thanks.
