I had decided to get an HD 7850 until I saw the 7790 review on Tom's today.

Quote: "AMD is suggesting that we shouldn't expect the Radeon HD 7850 1 GB to hang around much longer...at least at its current price"
" the Radeon HD 7850 1 GB has little trouble dominating our sub-$200 sampling. It's only a shame we aren't expecting it to persist in this form for long."
"The thing is, we're more concerned about the loss of a $180 Radeon HD 7850 1 GB than we are excited about the arrival of a $150 7790. Even if they're lower-margin products for AMD, inexpensive 7850s are great cards for hardcore gamers on a budget. If they disappear at ~$180, we'll be worse off for it, not better. "
These quotes kinda made me worried. How exactly is the 7850's strong position threatened?
