I need help fixing this. My monitor is an HP2011x and GFX card is a EVGA GeForce 650Ti. If you need and more details about the issue please ask and I will post the information you need.
OK does your motherboard have on board graphics? Plug your monitor into the on board and go into bios. Depending on what bios you have you will find a setting to select if you want to use onboard or PCI-e graphics, set to PCI-e. As a note make sure you have plugged in the PCI-e power cable into the graphics card (check this first).

If your motherboard has onboard graphics then it will be located on the rear of the pc around where the USB ports are. http://www.hardwarelook.com/reviews/asrock-z68-extreme3-gen3-review_125_3.html scroll down to the bottom of the page in the link and there is a diagram of the rear I/O panel on your PC its number 2 and 15 may vary from PC to PC.
