I'm looking for some advice on my PC. It's an old motherboard and CPU, but still has enough grunt coupled with the HD 5770 to play most new stuff on high, so I haven't seen a reason to update.
Issue is that it has a startup delay. The power indicator, and the DVD drive usage indicator flash at the same regular intervals. The fans are on, but they all pulsate to high power, then slow, then speed up, then slow, again, in a regular pattern, and it's CPU, GFX card and case fans all together.
After 30 seconds or so, the fans stay constant, and it boots, passing BIOS with a single, normal POST beep. After that, it's fine.
Not really sure when it started having these issues, and I did try the wonders of google, but everyone who has a flashing indicator can't seem to start their PC at all...
I'm stumped, any ideas anyone?
