Hello I have just finished putting together my first pc build while following the newegg videos on YouTube. Here are my components:

Gpu- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202011

CPU- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115078

Psu- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026

Hardrive- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136769

Ram- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820576003

Motherboard- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138332

Case- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147153

Disc drive- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204

So when I set it up, I plugged two case fans directly into the psu and one case fan into the motherboard (which was never removed throughout all trials). When all case fans were plugged in, only the case fans spun for a little bit. I then unplugged one case fan because I suspected the psu wasn't strong enough but still only the case fan spun for a bit. When I unplugged both case fans, only the CPU fan spun. The GPU never spun at all.

In the newegg video the guy plugged in a 24 and 8 pin into the motherboard from the psu. I only plugged in the 24 pin in because my motherboard doesn't have an 8 pin but has a 4 pin. The problem may be something with the psu, either I didn't plug something in or it isn't powerful enough. Please help! Thank you!

I definelty did plug the pcie cables to the gpu. But my psu doesn't seem to have a 4 pin connector.

You sir, are a god. It's so nice to see my pc up and running! Thank you so much!

When building a computer, the necessary connectors you need into the motherboard are the motherboard connector and cpu connector. Depending on the board, the motherboard connector is a 20/24pin while the cpu is a 4/8pin.
