Apologies if this has been covered before, but this has been bugging me like mad since the start of the year.

Recently I (sort of) finished my editing/ workstation PC a couple of weeks back after a few months of working on it. In that period, I had been waiting to purchase some Samsung Green RAM. At the end of December it could be had for around £37 for 2x4GB sticks, when I'd finally got the cash for the 32GB I needed (end of Jan), the price had gone to £45.99! The same 8GB is now just over £54! :ouch:

Seems like it's the same situation with just about every manufacturer...

Would be great if someone could shed a light on this! :)

Cheers

Prices go up and down with demand; at the end of last year most of the PC business was in a beep hole (some of the production lines shut-down for December due to poor demand, over stocking etc.), now things are (slowly) picking-up so prices are bouncing back.

Ain't just RAM. The AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE's price, for example, was @ £70 last year in practically all the online stores I frequent. Now it's at £90.
