This is a build which so e people helped me with and I was wondering if a creative sound blaster x-fi surround 5.1 pro external soundcard would help with this or lower the cost in any way please help . Thanks in advance

I can offer general advice, but you are going to have to check against pricing in Britain.

If you aren't interested in overclocking, then a i5 3350P is almost as good. You can't overclock with it, and you can't run integrated graphics but if neither is of interest, its a good value.

Also, price compare Seagate Barracuda HDs with what you have picked out. I find it tends to be a little cheaper, but is just as reliable.

Your motherboard's integrated sound should suffice for the majority of gamers, yourself included. Only audiophiles or people with expensive headphones or speakers need to consider a separate sound device.
