Just a quick question to ease my mind.

I have just built a new machine and am running a i5-3570k CPU with a Hyper 212 Evo cooler.

I was checking my temps and noticed core #2 runs anywhere from 10C to 15C higher then the rest.

I have reseated the cooler three times, cleaning and reapplying thermal paste and get the same temperatures each time (give or take 1C).

I have read that often one core will run hotter then the rest and there is no reason for concern (especially since my temps are low)

My temps are:

Idle: 20-25C for cores 0,1,3 and 35C for core 2
Load: 40-45C for cores 0,1,3 and 50-52 for core 3

Is this all good? Is that core running that much hotter or perhaps is it a bad temp sensor?

That seems fine, although if you do intend to overclock sometime that one core may be the one that limits you. If you've tried re-applying past, then it could be the internal heat dispersion that is uneven. I know some people have carefully re-applied the paste inside the CPU, but that's probably not a good idea since your temps are still excellent.
