will this stand a chance against future ps4 and xbox games?

Hi i am planning on getting a new gaming desktop but i am worried that if i get it it wont be able to play games which will come out for the new playstation and my parents said i am not allowed both so i need to choose wisely and im not wanting to upgrade amytime soon after i get and i cant increase the price i was planni g on getting:

Cpu amd fx 6100

Gpu amd radeon hd 7870

8gb ram

64 bit windows 8

Cant remember mobo


But will this work, will this be good enough, thanks in advance for those who give their feedback and advice. I really need it

We kinda need to know the actual budget to make suggestions other than what you've posted.

Also, knowing the motherboard is important as well.

Do you have a PSU picked out?

How about a boot drive & storage drive?

The GPU is definitely enough to play 1080p games well for awhile, the CPU is definitely decent but without more information, none of us here can really be that helpful.

I am going to get a 550w corsair psu so i should be fine, so how long will it last and will it cope with ps4 games
The mobo is a asus m5a78l mlx v2

My budget is 500 pound and i cant go over that at all because the budget was originally 450 and i just stretched it lol

Why don't you read some articles like this: http://www.pcworld.com/article/2029138/playstation-4-vs-pc-graphics-can-sony-even-compete-.html

and decide whether you'd rather pc game or console game - if you want to pc game, I'd be happy to post a spec sheet of a decent build in your price range but be advised, there are plenty of other things that differentiate the two gaming experiences - its up to personal preferences...
