Guide me in building a PC

This is my first time in building a PC. I have a budget of INR 35000 ($700). Deducting the taxes, count that I have a budget of $600.

I want to build a mid range gaming PC. Please suggest the components I should go for.

I want:
an i5 (not sure if 3rd generation is worth it, costs $200 in India or if AMD is better)
a 1GB graphics card. I was suggested Asus, not sure if I should go for it
4GB RAM (Kingston? )
1TB HDD (I am using WD for ages now, so maybe WD?? )
MoBo, not sure. Depends on processor right ?
The case for the components. I want it such that it minimizes heating. Bling is not a variable to consider

Again, please suggest specific components Newbie here

Forgot to ask, I have an inverter at my place. Square wave. Was considering changing it to sine wave. Needed ? or Do i use a UPS ?
And, can u suggest a graphics card that is 1GB ? I really do not need 2GB. So subsequently, there will be a change in monitor
