Im in the market for a CPU upgrade, and i really like the idea of a Xeon, the E3-1230 V2 model. Its got the same specs (Hyperthreading, nearly identical clock speed-plus, boasting rights! its a damn xeon! haha) as a 3770 and is a lot cheaper, plus runs alot cooler.
I've heard that they can be overclocked to 4.0ghz through various methods (of which im not entirely sure about) but they all say its only on specific motherboards. So im wondering what motherboards would support OC of this model of Xeon?
Im thinking of going Mini ITX, so the EVGA Z77 Stinger was an option for me, or for the cheaper price maybe a ASRock B75M-ITX.
